1972 Stanley Cup Final Game 2 program between Boston Bruins and New York Rangers which was held at the legendary Boston Gardens. On Tuesday , May 2nd, 1972. The Bruins won the game 2-1 in a goaltending duel between Gerry Cheevers and Gilles Villemure. The Bruins opened the scoring on a goal by John Bucyk assisted by Conn Smythe winner Bobby Orr and Fred Stanfield at 16: 15 of the first. The Rangers countered in the 2nd at the 7:23 mark on a goal by Rod Glbert assisted by Vic Hadfield and Jim " the Chief " Neilson. Ken Hodge scored the eventual winner at 11:53 of the 3rd period assisted by Mike Walton and Phil Esposito. This put the Bruins up 2- 0 and they went on to a 4 games to 2 series win . Who knew that it would be 39 years before the Bruins would sip again from Lord Stanley’s mug. The program is in beautiful Near Mint condition with tight binding and an unmarked lineup page. These do not appear for sale often so get it while you can. $100
